Our standard executive coaching engagement runs for six months. You meet your coach every two weeks, so that is twelve sessions in total. Each session lasts 75 minutes. Some clients choose to extend to twelve months if they are going through a significant organisational change, such as a merger, a restructure or a new role. We agree the timeline before we start and review it at the midpoint.
Each session lasts about four hours and follows a consistent format. After a brief check-in, one or two members present a challenge they are facing. The rest of the group asks clarifying questions before offering ideas, perspectives and experiences. A trained facilitator keeps the conversation focused and ensures everyone contributes. Sessions happen once a month, usually on a Thursday morning, at our office in Kunde-under-VonRueden or occasionally at a member's premises.
Our coaches are former senior leaders. They have held roles such as operations director, finance director, head of people and founder. All of them have managed teams of at least 20 people and budgets above £1 million. They are not career coaches who have only ever coached. They have sat in the chair you are sitting in, which means less time explaining what a board meeting feels like and more time working on the problem itself. Each coach holds a recognised coaching qualification (ICF ACC or above, or equivalent).
Yes. We regularly design programmes for intact leadership teams. These usually combine a two-day workshop at the start, followed by monthly half-day sessions over six to nine months, with optional one-to-one coaching for individual team members in between. The workshop covers shared challenges; the follow-up sessions track progress against specific commitments the team makes. We cap group size at 16 for workshops and 10 for ongoing sessions.
One-to-one coaching starts at £4,200 for the six-month programme (twelve sessions). Peer advisory group membership is £3,600 per year, billed quarterly. In-house workshops are priced per day and depend on group size, location and preparation required; a typical full-day session for up to 16 participants costs between £2,800 and £3,500 plus travel. We provide a detailed quote after the initial conversation so there are no surprises.
Coaching sessions can be in person at our Kunde-under-VonRueden office or over video. About half of our current coaching clients use a mix of both. Peer advisory group sessions are in person because the informal conversation during breaks is part of the value. Workshops are delivered on-site at your premises, though we have run shorter half-day sessions online for teams spread across multiple locations.
After each session, your coach sends a brief written summary of the key points discussed and any actions you agreed on. You also receive a short reflective exercise, usually a single question or observation to sit with during the fortnight. These are not busywork; they are designed to keep the thread alive between meetings. If something urgent comes up, you can email your coach for a quick exchange, though full ad-hoc sessions are not included in the standard fee.
The people who get the most from our programmes share a few traits: they manage other people, they have a specific challenge or transition they are working through, and they are willing to be honest about what is not working. If you are looking for a motivational seminar or a certificate to add to your LinkedIn profile, we are probably not the right fit. If you want to change how you lead and are prepared to do the work, get in touch and we will have a 30-minute conversation to see whether there is a match.
Completely. Coaching conversations are confidential between you and your coach. If your organisation is paying for the coaching, we agree upfront what (if anything) gets reported back, and it is always at a high level: themes and progress, never specific content. Peer advisory group members sign a confidentiality agreement before joining. What is shared in the room stays in the room. In five years, we have never had a breach.
